About the Artist

Sandra Gogel was raised on an orange ranch in Fullerton, California in a home built by her grandfather about 1910. He had been a pioneer in raising exotic fruits and flowers, so passed on this love to her. Sandra and her husband, Bill, became school teachers, first in Cartagena, Colombia and then in California. That experience of living and traveling in South America sparked a life-long love of traveling and painting. As a result, her paintings range from Europe to Canada, from South America to Hawaii, with many places in between. Sandra’s paintings have been exhibited most recently at the Orange County fairgrounds.

Sandra and Bill own The Sycamore Tree Curriculum Catalog and Sycamore Academy, with a text-based and online home school program. They recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary, traveling, of course!
